Mr. Heien has over 35 years of experience in engineering, construction, operations, development, and financing of energy-related projects and implementation of new technologies. He has held senior management positions with large multinational organizations, has provided services as an independent International Management and Business Development Consultant, and has held the position of Chief Executive Officer and major stockholder of a multi-discipline engineering, consulting and construction management company.

Mr. Heien’s experience includes the position of President and CEO of Northern Engineering Inc, and the major stockholder, providing consulting services, complete project engineering, and turnkey installation for energy related projects with special expertise in the utilization of natural gas as fuel and feedstock for power and petrochemical applications. The company completed over 5,000 MW of independent power generation and evaluated and implemented projects utilizing natural gas, LNG, CNG and other solid and liquid fuels.

Mr. Heien has also held the position of President for MaxWest Environmental Systems, Inc, a project development company employing new technology in the gasification of biomass. The company completed the installation for the gasification of municipal waste water treatment sludge and conversion to energy, which was the first installation in the US. As an Independent Consultant, Mr. Heien’s assignments included the development of a hydroelectric project in Costa Rica and the acquisition of a power utility in Caribbean.

As Vice President of Enron Engineering and Construction, he was responsible for international business development and completed several projects for onshore pipelines, refinery facilities, and oil and gas production and living quarter facilities in the Bay of Campeche, Mexico, and hydroelectric projects in Turkey.

Ali Abbasi has over 30 years of experience in engineering of international projects. His professional duties include managing development and financing support activities for alternative energy solutions, including gasification of solids & conversion to chemical products such as Methanol, Hydrogen, Syngas fuel, Ammonia, Spent Glycol, thermal power and Renewable Fuels, animal waste and wind projects. Has held senior management and engineering at KBR Inc. and Epic Clean technologies.

Brian Heien brings more than 20 years of experience in business and financial analysis for energy related and infrastructure projects. Prior to joining Parrotia Technologies, Brian worked for Reliant Energy and NRG Energy as a Business Systems Analyst, analyzing complex business/commercial structures and managing new projects and their associated teams. He has assumed critical roles associated with Smart Energy and Solar Power demand response and distributed power generation. Earlier in his career, Brian worked for Merrill Lynch as an associate in financial analysis and owned and managed a National Bulletin Board System.

Brian leads the team in due diligence processes, the development of financial projections, and business information technology implementation and documentation. In addition, Brian’s diverse and broad acumen supports Parrotia in customer-relation activities and the development of key management reporting tools.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialty in Finance from the University of Houston, as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Texas A & M University.

Stan is a recent addition to the Parrotia Team and brings a diverse set of skills in Engineering, Sales, and Operations. For the past 30 years Stan has been leading national and international teams in Direct and Indirect Sales for the likes of Boeing, Oracle, and Hewlett Packard. For the past eight years he has worked as a Domain Expert Integrator, focused on the technical and sales development of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Solutions in the Energy, Utilities and Discrete Manufacturing Industries. More recently, Stan led a multi-vendor initiative to deploy new Machine Learning, Augmented Reality, and Asset Intelligent applications at the “Refinery of the Future Project” in Houston.

Stan works closely with customers to understand their problems, helping to link their needs with the best available and applicable technology suiting their requirements. In his role, customer satisfaction and follow-through are paramount attributes, as Parrotia designs and scopes solutions to meet their requirements.

Stan has a B.S. in ASE from the University of Texas at Austin, and a M.S. in Computer Science from Villanova University, and spent the first 15 years of his career working for the U.S. Government and its contractors in Strategic Intelligence and the U.S. Space Program.
